The Treatment Process
Orthodontic Assessment
X-rays and clinical examination to map out your child's treatment plan, including timing and bracket type.
Bracket Placement
Brackets are bonded to the teeth and connected with an archwire. This is painless and takes about 1–2 hours.
Regular Adjustments
Monthly visits to tighten the wire and monitor progress. Each adjustment brings teeth closer to alignment.
Removal & Retainer
After 12–24 months, braces are removed and a retainer is fitted to hold the new position.

Most orthodontists recommend starting between 11–14 years when most permanent teeth have erupted. However, early assessment from age 7 can help plan treatment.
Most cases take 12–24 months. Complex cases may take longer. Your orthodontist will provide a timeline at consultation.
There may be mild soreness for a few days after each adjustment. This is normal and can be managed with over-the-counter pain relief.
Absolutely. We offer ceramic (tooth-coloured) braces for adults who prefer a less visible option. Clear aligners are also available.
Sticky, hard, or chewy foods should be avoided — including gum, hard candy, popcorn, and ice. We provide a full guide at the start of treatment.
